The Dark Knight Rises: Teaser Poster Unveiled

Finally, an official teaser poster for the hugely anticipated The Dark Knight Rises, hits the internet. The image, below, shows a mass of skyscrapers, which appear to be crumbling, of course, producing an outline of Batman’s Bat logo. The skyscrapers most likely, must be from the home city of Batman/Bruce Wayne, Gotham City. The fact that the skyscrapers are crumbling to pieces could indicate many things. Perhaps it’s showing the destruction and chaos happening in Gotham city, and in the middle, is Batman, who will finally restore peace to the corrupt city. Or maybe the skyscrapers are being built up again, as opposed to being broken down, symbolising the rising of The Dark Knight. Or maybe it’s just an awesome image that’s supposed to get us excited for the movie, which it has done.

A short teaser trailer is rumoured to be appearing before the showing of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2, which is supposed to last around 1 minute and 33 seconds. Whether it is supposed to show any of the characters or not, no one knows. However, if the rumours are true, all I know is that you’ll want to make sure that you get to your showing of Deathly Hallows Part 2 well in advance so that you can catch the trailers. Although characters may not be shown in the trailer, the only official image to be released of a character from the upcoming movie, is of Bane (Tom Hardy), check it out if you haven’t already: http://wp.me/p1aSRl-g1.

Here is the poster from a slightly different angle: http://static.muveez.com/media/Dark%20Knight%20Movie%20Poster(1).jpg

The Dark Knight Rises, directed by Christopher Nolan, who, coincidentally (or not), used skyscrapers in a damaged environment for his teaser poster of huge blockbuster, Inception, is set to hit cinema screens on the 20th July, 2012.

The Dark Knight Rises Gets Big Cameo

Christopher Nolan

Image via Wikipedia

WARNING: The following information contains details on a spoiler which will appear in the upcoming Christopher Nolan movie, The Dark Knight Rises, detailing a massive cameo which will be appearing in the movie. It is quite a big cameo, so if you do not wish to know anymore on the topic, I advise you to turn away, now.

The latest news in, which, unfortunately for me and every other Batman fan, was unable to stay under wraps, is that a huge cameo will be appearing in the currently filming, The Dark Knight Rises, and those of you who have seen Batman Begins, will particularly enjoy this.

Liam Neeson, has been spotted filming a short scene on The Dark Knight Rises set, who played Ra’s Al Ghul in the first Nolan installment in the Batman trilogy, Batman Begins. However, reports say only a short scene was filmed, before he left to attend the New York Broadway Premiere of Spiderman on Tuesday evening.

Like I, and many others, have speculated in the past, I always had a feeling that they would involve the character of Ra’s once again, especially with him somewhat being known as an immortal or supernatural character in the comics. Josh Pence, will be playing a young Ra’s Al Ghul in flashbacks in the upcoming movie. Talia Al Ghul, the estranged daughter of Ra’s in the comics, will also be appearing in the upcoming movie, so perhaps her appearance may tie in with the cameo of Ra’s. And, as Ra’s is considered as having supernatural methods, as mentioned in Begins, maybe he may come back to share this idea of being able to bring people back to life, which, in effect, may have adverse affects on Wayne/Batman, whose parents were killed.

Ra’s, who appeared to have died in Batman Begins, although somewhat ambiguously, will definitely be a brilliant role in the upcoming movie; it’s just a shame that Warner Bros. failed to keep it hidden, ruining this great surprise for all of us poor victims who just can’t turn down a juicy Batman spoiler..

The Dark Knight Rises Update: Josh Stewart Joins Cast

The latest ‘The Dark Knight Rises’ news is that actor, Josh Stewart (‘The Collector’) has been added to the cast of the up-coming Christopher Nolan Bat-flick. However, his role is currently down as unspecified. Reports also indicate that Stewart will be the last person to join the cast for this movie, meaning that a bigger picture of the movie and its storyline as a whole may be easier to build and speculate on. It’s nice to know that the cast is finally complete, and whether Stewart’s role will be of any importance or not, this movie will be amazing, and I cannot wait for it.

Although the main roles in the movie seem to be taken, it doesn’t seem like there would be any space for Stewart to have a largely significant role anyway; however, Nolan is known to always have a few tricks up his sleeve…well, I say tricks, but I really mean amazing surprises…

The Dark Knight Rises, will amongst others, star Christian Bale (Batman/Bruce Wayne), Anne Hathaway (Selina Kyle/Catwoman), Tom Hardy (Bane), Gary Oldman (Jim Gordon), and Michael Caine (Alfred Pennyworth). The movie is expected to his the big screens on 20th July of 2012.
