‘The Hobbit’ Movie Names Revealed…Posted: May 31, 2011
The names of the upcoming ‘The Hobbit‘ movies have been revealed. The first is called The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey, and will be expected to hit cinema screens in December of 2012. The second installment will be titled The Hobbit: There and Back Again, and release will be expected sometime in December of 2013. Both movies, adaptations of J.R.R. Tolkien‘s book, The Hobbit, are to be directed by Peter Jackson (Lord of The Rings).
Fans of the Lord of The Rings and The Hobbit books may also be pleased to know that Sir Ian McKellan and Elijah Wood, will be reprising their roles as Gandalf and Frodo Baggins. Christopher Lee will also be returning for the movies, and the latest news is that Orlando Bloom will also be returning for the movies, reprising his role of Legolas. Martin Freeman will be playing the role of Bilbo Baggins, with the movie chronicling the events before the Lord of the Rings Trilogy. Many other cast members are also expected to return, with the rumour that Leonard Nimoy (Spock, Star Trek) may be playing the character, Smaug.
