Here is another image, of the caped crusader on-set, in full costume:

Pretty exciting stuff, huh? Here is a small video of an apparent explosion in a prison riot on the set, too:

Here is another recent image, depicting a battle between Batman and Bane. As you can see, there are police officers and prisoners fighting amidst them, so it may be a scene which is part of a huge prison break caused by Bane:

Exciting stuff indeed. Keep an eye out on the latest Batman news. The Dark Knight Rises is set to hit cinema screens on 20th July, 2o12.

The Dark Knight Rises: Details on Pittsburgh Shooting

Carnegie Mellon from Above

Latest reports have it that some scenes from the upcoming Nolan flick, The Dark Knight Rises, will be shot at Carnegie Mellon University, Pittsburgh, under the working title of Magnus Rex. However, we’re also given some juicy details on what will be happening in these shootings. Apparently, a few things will be happening, so if you don’t want to know anything about the movie, don’t read the rest of this paragraph. Details include: “an explosion, a prison break, precision stunt driving, gunfire, atmospheric smoke, and controlled pyrotechnic explosions”, as reported on the CMU website. Further details also state, “One character drives a motorcycle through the fourth floor lobby, out the front doors and down the steps onto Fifth Ave.”.

And if this isn’t exciting enough for us Bat-fans, the latest news circulating the internet is that a teaser trailer for TDKR is set to be shown before the showing of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2 this weekend. This would make sense, as Deathly Hallows Part 2 is Warner Bros’ biggest movie of this year, and it’s more or less a year until TDKR is released, so it would seem like a good idea for some promotional material to be released. However, although many sources are claiming that this will happen, it hasn’t officially been confirmed, so we’ll have to wait and see. Guess that’s one more big reason to be excited to go and see the Deathly Hallows Part 2 at the cinema.
